Summer Fun Day #78: Go rock climbing

Challenge your little one to a fun day of rock climbing.

RockclimbingClimbing can test physical endurance and courage, making the kids stronger physically and mentally. It also improves focus and problem-solving skills because kids figure out how to climb rock walls as they go up, and they learn the importance of setting a goal and working to reach it.

Earth Treks in Columbia has an indoor climbing gym with 20,000 square feet of climbing surface. There are also Earth Treks locations in Rockville and Timonium, and all centers accommodate members as well as daily visitors. Earth Treks also offers an “Intro to Outdoor Rock Climbing Course” in the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal National Historic Park.
