Summer Fun—Day 37: Swim at Beaver Dam

When the weather is perfect for a day on the water, head to Beaver Dam Swimming Club in Cockeysville.

Beaver Dam Hang out on the beach and when you are ready to cool off, enjoy a freshwater quarry with a rope swing and small cliffs for jumping in the water. Or choose to swim in one of the two pools. Lifeguards are on duty during regular hours.

Children must be 4 years old to swim in the quarry and an adult must accompany kids under 14.

There are also volleyball courts, a snack bar, and grills for barbecues.

The swimming club is open on weekdays from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and on weekends from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

For adults, admission costs $16 on weekdays, $18 on Saturdays, and $19 on Sundays. For children under 12, admission is $13 on weekdays, $14 on Saturdays, and $15 on Sundays.
