Summer Fun—Day 88: Stay active at a skate park

Get your tweens and teens off the screen and active by taking them to one of the skate parks in the area.

Charmcity Skatepark in Baltimore is open Monday through Saturday from 12:30 to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 12 to 6 p.m. Skating costs $10 for the whole day and $5 after 5 p.m.

Bowie Skate Park has a 10,000-square-foot skating facility for skateboarding and inline skating. A helmet is required while skating. Admission is free and the park is open daily from sunrise to 10 p.m.

Columbia SkatePark has a 15,000-square-foot skating facility that sits right next to batting cages and a miniature golf course. Skating costs $6 per session and is open from noon to 9 p.m. most days during the summer.

Centennial Park Skate Spot in Ellicott City offers a free, unsupervised skate space open daily from dawn to dusk.
