Summer Fun—Day 94: Visit National Harbor

With scenic views of the Potomac River and tons of activities for visitors of all ages, National Harbor is the perfect place for a family day trip or even a weekend.

Board the pirate ship “Relentless” and spend some time playing games, singing songs, blasting a water cannon and a hunting for stolen treasure. The cruises run daily throughout the summer. Cost is $22 per person for ages 3 and up and $12 for children 2 and under.

Continue the fun Movies on the Potomac which shows family favorites at an outdoor theater every Sunday at 6 p.m.

Don't miss out on a ride on the Capital Wheel, a beautifully lit gigantic ferris wheel. Enjoy views of the White House, Capitol, National Mall, and Arlington National Cemetery as you soar above the ground in an enclosed gondola.

If you would like to make a weekend out of your visit, stay overnight at the Gaylord National Harbor Hotel just steps from the waterfront.
