The Lion King’ at the Kennedy Center for the summer

LionKing"The Lion King," one of Disney's most beloved Broadway shows, returns to the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. June 17.

The show is perfect for kids and tells the story of the young prince Simba seeking to avenge his father's death and reclaim his rightful place as king.

The show features elaborate puppetry and costumes and an award-winning score. It is the winner of six Tonys including Best Musical. Elton John and Tim Rice's score brings the African Pridelands to life with "Circle of Life" and many more great songs.

The show runs daily through Aug. 17, excluding Mondays. Performances are at 7:30 p.m. Tuesdays – Sundays and 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays. Tickets are $40-190.
