Country fun at the Queen Anne's County Fair

QueenAnnesEnjoy a taste of country living at the Queen Anne's County Fair starting Monday Aug. 11 and running through Aug. 16.

There will be animals, educational exhibits, rodeo and even a truck and tractor pull. The truck and tractor pull will be Saturday, Aug. 16 at 11 a.m. followed by a professional rodeo at 4:30 p.m. Kids can compete in a stick horse racing and sheep wrangling and adults can try their skill at riding a bull or bucking bronco.

Don't miss the Pretty Animal Contest Thursday at 6:30 p.m. in the Main Show Ring. There are several categories including small pets, large pets and groups and both 4-H classes and open classes. Register your pet for the contest on the Queen Anne's County Fair website or just come out and watch the fun.

Visit the Masonic Lodge Booth for Child Identification Kits provided by the Queen Anne's County Sherriff's Department Monday to Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday noon-5 p.m.

There will be a Corn Hole Tournament Saturday, Aug. 16. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. with bags flying at 11. Registration is $40 per team and includes a T-shirt.

Other fun events include an exotic petting zoo, pillow making, wood carving, live music, delicious dinners and much more.
