Holiday Fun, Day 2—Kennedy Krieger Festival of Trees

Visit Kennedy Krieger's Festival of Trees this weekend to get in the holiday spirit with visits from Santa, fairyland forests, gingerbread towns and toy train gardens.

This three-day family event, Nov. 23–25, features more than 700 uniquely decorated holiday trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses, entertainment, princess visits, and over 100 gift boutiques. Kids can visit SantaLand—Santa’s ultimate theme park—complete with “reindeer” pony rides, carousel rides, carnival games, train rides, a remote control car racetrack and more. Kids can also write and mail their letters to Santa in an express mailbox. Santa himself will also be visiting for a Breakfast with Santa event.

Tickets are $16 for adults, $7 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and younger. Proceeds benefit Kennedy Krieger Institute. The event runs Friday and Saturday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., and Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The event is at the Maryland State Fairgrounds in the Cow Palace.
