Holiday Fun Day 7—Explore the trees at The Lights of Kindness

Walk through a forest of decorated Christmas trees and wreaths and vote on your favorite at The Lights of Kindness event Nov. 30-Dec. 3 at Homestead Gardens in Davidsonville.

Rotary Lights TreesThe Rotary Club of South Anne Arundel County sponsors the unique and magical Christmas tree decorating contest. Each decorated tree represents a local charity and visitors can vote for their favorite tree and the charity represented for $1 each vote.

The goal of this event is to raise awareness for charities, nonprofits and businesses that strive to make the community a better place. The trees are decorated by the business sponsors, adorned with homemade ornaments unique to the business and the charity they support. Sponsor businesses and the charities supported will be prominently identified at the base of each Christmas tree, on posters and on the holiday forest map.

The businesses urge customers, employees and social media friends to step up and help with the process.

Voting takes place Nov. 30-Dec. 3. Voting can be done on site and online at the Lights of Kindness website. Hours to see the trees and vote are Thursday-Saturday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.
