Holiday Fun Day 22—Climb aboard the B&O's Magical Holiday Express

The B&O Railroad Museum’s Magical Holiday Express offers trains of all sizes to help celebrate the season.

Live performances, model trains, story times and train rides are just a few of the planned activities. Frosty Fest with Frosty the Snowman will be offered this weekend, Dec. 16-17, featuring train rides with Frosty (noon and 2 p.m.) and Santa (11 a.m. and 1 p.m.)

Model trains to check out include a G-scale on the children's floor, HO-scale inside the C&O 725 Passenger Car and a G-scale garden at the outdoor Family Zone. From Dec. 15 to Dec. 31, the Baltimore Area NTRAC Club will have an N-scale on display.

Kids can also learn how to build a Rocket Powered Sleigh in the Holiday Kid Zone Dec. 16 and 17. Adult supervision is required.

The Holiday Express will run through Dec. 31. Admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors, and $12 for children 2-12. Train rides are $3 for adults and $2 for children with paid admission and carousel rides are $2 extra. The event runs Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Visit the B&O Railroad Museum website for details.
