Holiday Fun Day 36—Play at Port Discovery

Port Discovery Children’s Museum in Baltimore is offering extended hours and plenty of winter break programs and performances for kids through Jan. 2. The museum also has a wonderful Kidworks climbing structure perfect for expending extra energy and other interactive exhibits for all ages.

Special winter break activities include live music, Wildlife Adventures, story times, art activities, live interactive plays and more. The museum will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. during the week and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, for a special Noontime New Year.

Special activities this weekend include:

Dec. 29—Learn about CoolScience with Eric Energy. Take part in winter-themed drop-in programs, including our interactive Circle Time, our music and movement program Jingle Jangle Music Time, and our early literacy program Snow Goose on the Loose. Also make gingerbread puppets, diffusion snowflakes and learn about polar bear blubber.

Dec. 30—Meet and learn about animals with Wildlife Adventures. Watch our fun and imaginative play, The Hornswoggle's Winter Vacation. Take part in yoga for kids during Life on Yoga Mountain, plus dance and sing along to Music with Mr. Norman. Enjoy drop-in programs including our interactive Circle Time and make winter-themed art projects with your family and friends!

Dec. 31—Countdown to 2018 with the most festive and fun New Year's celebration for families in Baltimore! Featuring a balloon and confetti drop, music and dancing, juice and cookie toast, special performances, art projects and tons more to do! Every inch of the Museum will be filled with fun activities for children and families to enjoy—and you'll be home in time for everyone's bedtime!

Admission is $14.95 for ages 2 and older and activities are free with admission. Check the Port Discovery website for details on the activities the rest of the week and Noontime New Year.
