After deciding on race favorites to win, place or show, watch a live telecast of the Kentucky Derby, enjoy a buffet dinner, and bid in a live and silent auction. Other activities include riding demonstrations at the farm and a hat contest, so don't forget to don your fancy headwear.

Event tickets sell quickly, according to the sponsors, so don't wait to purchase. "The event always sells out," says Talisman Therapeutic Riding Board Chair Tom Saquella. "Our guests always have a great time and, in the process, they help our riders regain strength and emotional stability."

The Talisman Therapeutic Riding program benefits children and adults with special needs and veterans returning from Iraq and Afghanistan, combining horses and nature.

Tickets are $85 per person and include the hors d'oeuvres, mint juleps, dinner, rider demonstrations, live broadcast of the Kentucky Derby, hat contest, and live and silent auctions. The Derby Day party starts at 4 p.m. with the Kentucky Derby post time of 6:24 p.m.
