Annapolis Irish Week kicks off with a party and parade

Dublin 5 Irish WeekKick off Annapolis Irish Week and St. Patrick's Day festivities with an Irish Hooley, or party, the night before the Annapolis St. Patrick's Day parade. The second annual Annapolis Hooley is March 5, 2016, at the Loews Annapolis Hotel from 6-10 p.m.

(Update: Tickets will be sold until the event.)

The party features Dublin 5, pipe bands and Irish dancers as well as Irish and American food plus an open bar for the first hour, compliments of Steve Kelly and Kelly Electric. After the first hour, a cash bar will be available. Tickets are $64.29. The Hooley benefits Warrior Events and Maryland Professional Fire Fighters Association.

The Annapolis St. Patrick's Day Parade is the next day, March 6, starting at 1 p.m. at West Gate Circle in Annapolis. The parade travels down West Street, around Church Circle and continues down Main Street to City Dock.

An after-party follows the parade at Galway Bay with Áine O'Doherty playing live 3-7 p.m.
