Now is the time to book a magical journey for the kids aboard The Polar Express Train Ride at the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore this holiday season.
Tickets are selling fast for the experience Nov. 19-20 and 25-27 during which pajama-clad families are whisked off to the “North Pole” where characters from Chris Van Allburg’s children’s book, “The Polar Express,” come to life. On board, the conductor punches everyone’s golden ticket, chefs serve hot chocolate and cookies, and Santa gives each child the first gift of Christmas — a silver sleigh bell.
Tickets to the event sold out well in advance last year but first class, family and coach seats were still available as of mid-September. First class tickets include spacious seating and a special souvenir mug and cost $53-$63, $45-55 for B&O museum members. Family class seats provide quad seating for a family of four (ages 2 and older) and a complimentary pass to visit the museum, and cost $235 per quad. Coach seats run $37-47 and $33-43 for members.
The B&O Railroad Museum will be closed to the public Nov. 16-21 and 24-28 for the event. Advanced purchase is required to attend the event. For tickets and details visit the B&O Railroad Museum website, borail.org.
