Get your Gala On!

This might not be the year for dressing to the nines and heading out on the town, but you can still celebrate your favorite area nonprofit fundraisers during their virtual events! Here are three local fundraising opportunities for a fun night at home for a good cause.

CASAblanca at home Gala
November 7. This year’s CASAblanca Gala will be held online, featuring special  programming around the theme for this year’s event to support children in foster care. Attendees are encouraged to throw their own watch-party, dress up in their glitzy finest, or perhaps throw a pajama party! Guests can get creative on how they will decorate for our photo contest, while they join us on YouTube Live and “mingle” via the interactive chat bar. 6:30–8 p.m. aacasa.org

Bountiful Harvest
Help support the Light House Shelter in Annapolis with gourmet meals from the Light House Bistro, Live and Silent auctions, and a game night. Curbside pickup your three-course gourmet dinner and a bottle of wine per person. Auction items and team trivia will be broadcast on Youtube. $25–$100

MASKerade Baltimore
This virtual silent auction and exhibition hosted by the Baltimore Community Foundation’s LGBTQ Fund aims to raise awareness and funds for issues facing the LGBTQ community in Baltimore. For this virtual MASKerade, more than 100 artists and non-artists picked up canvas masks, transforming them into works of art to sell at auction! The auction begins Saturday, November 7 at 10 a.m. and runs through November 13 at 10 p.m. Funds raised will go to organizations fighting discrimination, providing health services, producing arts and culture events, and supporting LGBTQ youth with anti-bullying and suicide prevention programs.
