Golf tournament for Special Olympics is back

golf tournamentCalling all golfers! After it was cancelled last year, the annual Eddie Woods Memorial Golf Tournament benefitting Special Olympics Maryland, Anne Arundel County is back in full swing and is in need of golfers and sponsors.

This year’s tournament is scheduled for Monday, May 14 at Compass Pointe Golf Course in Pasadena. The cost for individual golfers is $125, which includes the tournament entry fee, breakfast, the awards luncheon, and on-course beverages and snacks.

The tournament is the main fundraising event for Special Olympics Maryland, Anne Arundel County, which is one of 18 sub-programs of Special Olympics Maryland. The Anne Arundel County program provides local athletes with training, equipment and transportation in preparation for the state games.
