After Hours Teen Halloween Lock In

On this spooky night, the library will be taken over by teenagers once its doors are closed to the public! There will be plenty of Halloween-themed activities, crafts and snacks for kids ages 11 to 18 to enjoy, as well as a costume contest.

Haunted Laboratory: Halloween Science

It’s a spooky STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) event putting a Halloween twist on education! Kids will be able to explore a mad scientist’s abandoned laboratory and finish his experiments themselves, learning about scientific principles as they work.

Pumpkin Walk

This not-so-scary annual event is the perfect way to have some Halloween fun as a family. Visitors can explore the Hammond Harwood House decorated for Halloween and take part in a costume parade led by children’s songwriter and storyteller Frolic the Fox. Entertainment and refreshments for adults will also be available.

If going trick-or-treating after dark isn’t your style, this trunk or treat event offers a safe and family-friendly way to have some Halloween fun. Kids can collect candy at decorated cars and make fun crafts. Participants are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item for a food drive.

Tucker House may not be haunted, but it offers a fun, slightly-scary Halloween experience for kids ages 2 to 12 every year. After touring the house, visitors can continue their Halloween fun at nearby Wright’s Chance with additional activities and plenty of candy!
