The national Listen to a Life Essay Contest is being run by the Legacy Project, a big-picture learning project for all ages, and the nonprofit Generations United in Washington, DC.
Young people interview a grandparent or grandfriend 50 years or older about their life experiences and submit a 300-word essay.
