"You may wonder how an infant, with no specific injury, can benefit from physical therapy, yet, if we think about it, the act of coming into this world is a bit of a traumatic experience," explained Tara Diel, a physical therapist also trained in osteopathy who has a private practice in Laurel. "Physical therapy on infants has been found effective at lessening the frequency of ear infections, decreasing colic, reducing reflux, and improving sleep patterns, among other things."
