Wondering if your teen could have laser eye surgery to help them see better? The answer is most likely not yet.

The Food and Drug Administration doesn't approve what is commonly referred to as Lasik surgery until at least the age of 21.

"I think it's a good idea," says Dr. Maria Scott, the medical director of Chesapeake Eye Care & Laser Center in Annapolis. "The number one reason is that up until that age prescriptions are still changing."
