Are you looking for a way to help Anne Arundel children get ready for school? Walk the Walk Foundation is working with Anne Arundel County to identify children in need of school supplies and match them with a giving “sponsor” who can ensure low-income students have the supplies they need to learn in the classroom. They need your help.
Walk the Walk will provide each sponsor with a child’s name, a backpack and a school supplies list. Once sponsors fill the backpacks, they simply return them to the foundation, and then they will be distributed throughout the county to the local schools.
Walk the Walk is partnering with the Bay Area Community Church, the Mid Atlantic Community Church, and the public to benefit those in need for the 2013-2014 school year. The Foundation will be distributing names in between Church services from not through August 2013. They also are looking for volunteers and sponsors to help with this event.
