Take the family to Hockey for Heroes, a fundraising event like no other.
From 6 p.m. on March 14 to 6 p.m. March 15, youth, adult and sled hockey teams will compete in a tournament that involves a different hockey game each hour for a full 24 hours.
Donate to your favorite team, then come on out to the McMullen Ice Arena at the U.S,. Naval Academy in Annapolis to enjoy silent auctions and refreshments as you watch them compete.
The fundraiser is to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides resources for war veterans. Proceeds from the event — which include registration fees, bucket collections, donations at the door, food concessions, sponsorships and silent auction items — will be donated to USA Warriors Hockey, an ice hockey program that provides a recreational, therapeutic and educational service for disabled vets.
