Today is #GivingTuesday and a great time to get the kids to start thinking about giving to those in need this holiday season.
Black Friday and Cyber Monday are over, so now it’s time for #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving back.
Take time today to find a way for your family to give something more. Look into adopting a family to buy gifts for, shop for a program like Toys for Tots, or find a wish list for kids in the hospital and donate to the cause.
For details check out the Giving Tuesday website. You can also donate to many local nonprofits in the area, Chesapeake Bay groups or pick a national cause dear to your heart and donate to it. The point is to help the groups doing good things. Get together as a family and decide what groups fit your family’s values.
