Is it Still 2020?

Is it still 2020?

Is it still 2020?

There is more than one way to read that question. One is though that the time has moved too slow, the other is that we need more time. Maybe we need to ask ourselves which side of the question we are on.

We are halfway through one of the wildest, awakening, heartbreaking, riveting and memorable years of our lifetimes. So now what do we want to do with the other half? Knowing what we know now, how do we carry that going forward? What do you want to do? Who do you want to be? What do you still want to accomplish?

We started out this decade eyes wide open. Ready. Determined. And oh how quickly everything shifted and stripped us down to our bare bones. In the search for our essentials and in the clearing of our calendars and of the settling in our homes we saw with a new lens what was really important. Some things were so heavy and hard. Some things we questioned how they ever became this way. We now had time to analyze what we have tolerated. Some things were light to let go of. Some things were recognized as things we no longer needed. Some things we hope we remember to keep from our doors as our worlds slowly return to our redefined normal. Our eyes see so differently now than when the year first started. Possibly with even more strength, focus and clarity.

Going forward we have a newfound choice in how we see. And what we will stand for. We have enough time to make it count. We have enough time.

Albert Einstein once said, “There are only two ways to live your life: one is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.”

It is still 2020 and the choice is yours.
