Inspired last year at a conference hosted by the Annapolis Peace and Justice Center that challenged students to make the next 10 years safer, a group of five juniors and seniors from The Key School decided they wanted to make a difference. The students heard at the conference that schools in the nation currently teach about weapons and war and not about peace and conflict resolution so they set out to create what has become the Teaching Peace Initiative, according to their story on the TPI website.
