Learn about hunger issues at Empty Bowls at St. Anne’s

Empty BowlsBring your family to Empty Bowls: A Place at the Table at St. Anne’s School of Annapolis next week to learn about hunger issues.

The event is being held Jan. 15 to help fight hunger and raise awareness of hunger issues in the community and in the larger global community.

The public is invited to come together and share a meal of soup, bread, rice and beans. Seventh Grade students from St. Anne’s School will serve guests as part of the School’s service learning program. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a video detailing the work of Heifer International followed by a conversation with a representative from the Lighthouse Shelter. Dinner will be served until 7 p.m.

Admission is $10 with a portion of the proceeds going to the Lighthouse Shelter in Annapolis. For more information contact Laura Wood at triest@comcast.net.
