Head to the Sugar Shack at Oregon Ridge Nature Center in Cockeysville for Maple Sugaring Weekends Feb. 20-21 and Feb. 27-28.
Wander in any time between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. and learn the magic behind the process of making maple syrup. Hike to the sugar bush to tap a tree for sap. Then taste maple syrup and sugar. Hikes are on the hour. Sugar on the snow demonstrations (the making of maple sugar) are at 12:30 p.m. and 3:45 p.m.
