Boatyard Bar and Grill | Annapolis
Going on 20 years of being awarded the best crab cake in Annapolis, Boatyard Bar and Grill brings you directly to the beach. Its elevated deck with white pickets emulates that of the fences along the sand dunes. The nautical theme continues with white shiplap interior, memorabilia from ships, various fish décor and exposed wooden beams throughout. The menu, which has daily rotating specials, also has a ‘Cap’N Kids Meal’ section, offering classics like chicken fingers and pizza and the Shark Bait Fish Dinner, a smaller portion of the grilled mahi or crispy cod, for the young seafood lover.

Blue Heron features indoor-outdoor seating with a covered patio and a menu filled with options from the sea, from crab cakes, shrimp, grouper, salmon and scallops, whether you’re in the main dining, oyster house or tiki bar. Chesapeake Landing | St. Michaels
Having been around for more than 30 years, Chesapeake Landing is a family-run business that comes from a long line of Chesapeake Bay crabbers. The restaurant features a rustic outdoor dining space and covered patio with both dinner and picnic table seating. Two unique offerings on their kids’ menu are popcorn shrimp and clam strips, while the adults can pick from a multitude of seafood, vegetarian, beef and poultry options.
Fisherman’s Crab Deck | Grasonville
With an expansive menu, Fisherman’s has something for everyone. The kids’ menu offers seven main options, all accompanied by applesauce or fries, with milk, chocolate milk, apple juice and milkshakes as additional drink options. For the adults, the restaurant menu offers salads, soups and seafood pots, all before showcasing 20 entrees and 17 handhelds. The Maryland state cocktail, an Orange Crush, is also offered alongside seven other crush flavors. One of Fisherman’s most unique features is its own dockage available at the restaurant, for free, allowing visitors with boats to maximize their time on the water.
Jerry’s Place | Prince Frederick
Jerry’s prides itself on being “Fresh, Fast, and Delicious.” Founded by Jerry Gainey and his wife, Peggy, in 1983, the restaurant has a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere, making you feel like you’re a part of the Gainey family right away. There are multiple seafood dishes like crab cakes, oyster sandwiches, fish and chips, haddock bites and more, and you can also select from six platters and a children’s menu.
