Fall Fairs, Festivals and Carnivals in Maryland

Fall is the perfect time to enjoy Fairs, Festivals and Carnivals in Maryland. And there are many special events to choose from for low-cost family fun.

This list includes 2021 fall fairs, festivals and carnivals in September and all the way through November.  Also check our Halloween Events roundup and our haunted house roundup for spooky events in the greater Annapolis-Baltimore area. Event locations include Arnold, Bowie, Crofton, Columbia, Ellicott City and Prince Frederick, along with Washington, D.C.

Monthlong:

Maryland Renaissance Festival –  Aug. 28 – Oct 24 Saturdays and Sundays. 25-acre English village with craft and specialty shops. Food and beverage emporiums, games, attractions, jousting and more. National Hard Crab Derby –  Aug. 27–Sept. 5.  Crab themed festival featuring crab races, crab cooking and picking contests. Days End Farm Horse Rescue Benefit Concert – Sept. 11. Watersedge Fall Festival 2021 – Sept 10-12. Located at Watersedge Park in Dundalk, this fesitival will have rides, games, live music, car show and great food and treats.

PRAD (Patuxent River Appreciation Days) – Oct. 9. This annual festival creates awareness, recognition, and promotion of the Patuxent River.
