It looks like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel in Maryland’s economic future. The May 27, 2010 survey of business owners by the Baltimore Branch of the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank (no comment on the seemingly ridiculousness of having a Baltimore Branch of the Richmond Federal Reserve) reveals that 1/3 of business owners in the region are planning to expand in the next 6 months.
More working hours were reported during the period with no current increase in employees.
An increase in sales, inventories and customer traffic was reported by businesses.
