In Solomons, the Calvert Marine Museum has Sea Squirts (18 mos.-3 years), a free, drop-in program held two Thursdays a month, starting mid-January, where they “walk, hop, and slither.” For slightly older kids, try Little Minnows (3-5 years), an hour-long program on the fourth Thursday of the month. This program explores one of the museum’s themes. When the program is over, the kids can watch the museum’s resident river otters in their outdoor tank. They love snow and ice.
