Just as we head into the summer months and top ice cream eating time, BetMaryland.com utilized Google Trends to calculate the most ice cream crazy states. They used search volume since April 21, 2022 on ice cream keywords. A point system was developed and created giving up to 50 points for search rank.
Maryland Ranks No. 7
When looking at trends of the most popular ice cream flavors, Vanilla, Chocolate, and Strawberry, BetMaryland.com came up with a ranking of states most in love with ice cream. Maryland ranked in a tie for No. 7 with New Jersey, each with 138 points on the ice cream infatuation scale. Marylanders preferred vanilla and strawberry over chocolate.
