The Enchanted Forest in Ellicott City, was a delightful storybook park that opened in 1955 and sadly closed 30 years later.
Along came the folks at Clark’s Elioak Farm and one by one they moved and restored the character pieces.
Now you can see Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Robin Hood, the Three Little Pigs’ straw, stick and brick houses, the old woman’s shoe, Cinderella’s Pumpkin Coach and much more at Clark’s Elioak Farm.
The Enchanted Forest will be alive with activity today and tomorrow (Aug 16th and 17th) for its 59th birthday party and book signing.
There will be fairy tale characters, story time, crafts and face painting. “The Enchanted Forest: Memories of Maryland’s Storybook Park” book with be for sale and available for signing by the author, Martha Anne Clark. Join the seven dwarves in hands-on gem mining and geode cracking.
