Eastern Market is the original food and arts market of Washington D.C. and is a neat place to take the kids. It’s over 136 years old and still bustling.
The market is a great place to buy groceries or gifts. In the South Hall Market you can find bakeries, poultry, cheeses, meats and seafood. A local farmers market full of produce lines the outdoor edges of the market.
On weekends artisans and crafts people set up their wares. There is also a flea market full of antiques, maps and furniture. Come hungry and bring bags to load up on treats.
Check out the Eastern Market website for more details.
