Movie Review: In Time (PG-13)

InTimeKernel Rating (out of 5): whole-popcorn-kernalwhole-popcorn-kernalhalf-popcorn-kernal

Length: 109 minutes        MPAA Rating: PG-13

Age Appropriate for: 15+. The discussions of poverty and segregation may be too complicated for younger teens. Otherwise, there’s cursing, violence, death, and suggested sexual content, including the main female character in lingerie.

Futuristic sci-fi tale ‘In Time’ looks cool, spouts off about financial equality and ultimately stands for nothing. Whoever thought Justin Timberlake could be an action star was wrong.

By Roxana Hadadi

Justin Timberlake needs to reevaluate his decision to become a serious actor. As a skeezy businessman in “The Social Network,” his smarminess worked. In “Friends with Benefits,” he was able to flex his abs and show off his funniness. But in “In Time,” as an action star? In a sci-fi film filled with betters actors than him in supporting roles? Nope. Nope, nope, nope.
