Now that fall has arrived and the weather is cooling down, you may have said goodbye to the beach. But these four nautical-themed events will have the whole family on the water having a blast.

Boats, Boats, Everywhere
Oct. 3-6, 7 p.m.
Come to the Annapolis City Dock & Harbor to see sailors from around the globe gather on miles of docks in downtown historic Annapolis. Experience hundreds of new and premiering boats and boating gear while enjoying tasting tents and time to connect with fellow boaters at the Annapolis Powerboat Show.

Celebrating Local Rivers
Oct. 12, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Join the Calvert Marine Museum in Solomons for Patuxent River Appreciation Day, a
festival with free boat rides, children’s activities, arts and crafts, environmental exhibits,
a petting zoo, food vendors and live music.

Oyster Festival
Oct. 12, 12:30 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Sail down to the Captain Avery Museum in Shady Side for live music, a cash raffle, local food and drink and, of course, oysters at this family-friendly event for all ages! The kids’ zone includes crafts and fun activities.

Sunday Family Sailing
Oct. 20, 8:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Join Chesapeake Region Accessible Boating in Annapolis for its last day
of the season. Six boats will be setting sail that are accessible for people with disabilities. Spots are limited.
