Theater
The theatre lineup for Nordic Cool includes a variety of shows appropriate for families and adults, including Metamorphosis, which includes aerial action, Hans Christian, You Must be an Angel, celebrating Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tales, and Little King Mattias in its U.S. premier, which shows what might happen if an 11-year-old became king.

Dance
The dance portion of the festival includes performances throughout the festival very in style from advanced dance classes led by Nordic dance companies to classical ballet or contemporary dance performances.
Masters classes are $15, and tickets to shows cost between $29-$60.
Music
More than 35 Nordic musical groups will be performing throughout the month, including the Danish National Girls’ Choir and the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. Many of the shows are free.
On the Kennedy Center’s website, there is a list of performances for younger audiences, including an animated film and LEGO Exhibit and Play Space.
Film
The festival’s Film Series includes 11 feature-length films. They range from the classic 1921 silent film The Phantom Carriage, performed with live piano accompaniment, to recent award winners at international festivals (Teddy Bear and The Almost Man), to a movie for young audiences.
Other Events
The festival also includes literature forums, a knitting workshop, cooking demonstrations, and more.
