Advent calendars are a fun way to kick off the holiday season with the family. It has been a family tradition in our house ever since my Grandma would get one for me and my siblings when we were young kids back in the 80s.
I look forward every year to the short span of time they popup in the grocery stores. You have to grab them when you see them otherwise they will be gone! Each year the advent calendars seem to be getting more and more focused and elaborate. I went from having basic solid chocolate to having 12 days of Game of Thrones on my feet from my advent calendar being filled up with themed socks last year. This year didn’t disappoint. We were able to grab the Funko Harry Potter themed advent before the price skyrocketed and we grabbed a $.99 version from Trader Joes that is full of chocolate my son can’t wait to eat.
