Partake in the Polar Bear Plunge this weekend

Polar Bear PlungeTake a dip in the Chesapeake Bay and raise funds for Special Olympics Maryland at the annual Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge. There is even a Pee Wee plunge for kids.

Participants must raise a minimum of $75 in donations. The fun starts at Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis on Jan. 25. Registration runs 8 a.m. to 2:50 p.m. The Pee Wee & Family Plunge is at 11 a.m. and mass Plunges are at 1 and 3 p.m.

PlungeFest 2014 features local and national vendors, crafters, zoo animals and a giant sand sculpture. Be sure to check out the Rams Head Ice Lodge featuring live music and entertainment from local and national headliners. PlungeFest is fun for the whole family with a “Kids Zone” complete with face painting, games, inflatable fun and more.
