As you clean out your basements, garages and front hall closets this winter, you’ll no doubt find a couple pairs of outgrown cleats, underused field hockey sticks and a few practically new tennis raquets. Instead of packing them up for some future trip to Goodwill, consider donating them to local kids in need.
The City of Annapolis and the Armstrong Family is hosting a sporting goods collection and distribution event to provide free, gently used sporting equipment to kids in the Annapolis area.
Drop off your kids’ gently used equipment to one of these locations between Jan. 29 and Mar. 2:
Pip Moyer Rereation Center
Key School
Calvary United Methodist Church
Historic London Town and Gardens
Anne Arundel Medical Center
Contact Katy Owings at [email protected] or Kim Elek at [email protected] if you would like to host your own mini-drive.
The collected sporting goods will be distributed Saturday April 7 at the Pip Moyer Recreation Center in Annapolis.
