Dr. GonzalezPrince George’s County Public Schools has a new of Officer for Diversity, Latino Affairs.

Maritza E. González was appointed to the position to respond to the academic and social needs of the diverse ethnic groups served by the school system, with a special focus on Latino children, parents and communities.

“We had a real need for a dedicated staff member to serve as liaison to our Latino community,” said Dr. Kevin M. Maxwell, Chief Executive Officer. “Dr. González will also be working with county government, businesses and organizations to partner in supporting students and engaging the Latino community.”
