Alpha Ridge Park is a 72-acre park that has 2 playgrounds including a solar system walk, which is about .4 miles to the observatory.
The first playground is located near Ballfields #1 and #2 . This playground is small and aimed for older children (ages 5-12). It is basically a circle with ropes and poles to climb up. It also includes a big yellow slide.
The second playground is geared more towards younger children (ages 2-5) and has a woodland theme. It includes a baby swing and accessible swing as well a log and mushrooms to climb on.
The park also features ball fields, a hockey rink, tennis courts and picnic pavilions.
