Tuckahoe Creek, a quiet country stream bordered for most of its length by wooded marshlands, runs through the length of the park. A 60-acre lake offers boating and fishing. The park offers 20 miles of scenic hiking, biking and equestrian trails, flat water canoeing, hunting, and picnicking. A big toothy dragon greets kids who dare cross into Tuckahoe’s Tire playground, and climbing all over his rubbery back is just the beginning fo the fun. Kids can make their way onto a big sling made of tires or zoom down the slides. Plus who can resist spinning on a tire swing?
There is a workout trail with stations suitable for kids 6 and up.
Cabins are available for rent.
Adkins Arboretum is across the road with more trails for hiking. This is a great park for families.
Just a note of caution, there is no place to buy food nearby. So if you come for the day make sure to bring a picnic.Address: 13070 Crouse Mill Road
