Lighthouse Christian Counseling in Centreville, Maryland, is offering a “Bully Boot Camp” program this summer for students entering grades 6-9. This is the first year the center has offered this program to help children who have experienced or witnessed bullying learn to prevent and cope with bullying.
Julie Hickson, clinical director of Lighthouse Christian Counseling, says she has seen an increase in the number of children asking for help coping with bullying, and she says this summer program will explore ways to deal with both in-person and cyber bullying.
