Imagine you could build any kind of robot you wanted. Would it be a robot that could make your life more fun, easier, or both? What would it do and how would it work? It’s up to you! At the party, we’ll learn a lot about robots– and build one too!

Whatever you have available:
- Paper
- Pencil
- shoe boxes
- toilet paper rolls
- pipe cleaners
- construction paper
- scissors
- glue
- tape
- markers
- crayons
- yarn
- googly eyes
- stickers
- pom-poms
How to design a robot
- Watch video for instructions
Using paper and a pencil, follow the directions given in the video to create a drawing.
- Share your drawing
Share your drawing with someone else.
- Watch Video for 2nd drawing
Follow the directions in the video to create the drawing a second time.
- Robot Objective
Think of a job you would like for a robot to do.
- Build it
Using materials around the house, create a prototype for your robot.
- Develop Algorithm
Create an algorithm, a set of instructions, for your robot.
- Share your creation
Share your robot with your family.
How does it work?
All robots will be different! Using materials found around the house and some creativity, you can create any type of robot!
