Safari Express to the Maryland Zoo

As one of the oldest zoos in the country, the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore contains more than 1,500 species of animals, insects, reptiles, and birds in their natural habitats for zoo-goers of all ages to explore on a summer day. It is a favorite destination for families around the state.

To make travel penguinseasier, the Zoo, along with Transdev America, is bringing the Safari Express shuttle to downtown Baltimore to allow for a favorite and fun summer outing to become more accessible.

The shuttle service is free of charge and open to everyone wishing to visit the zoo. Services begin on Saturday, June 16, and operate each Saturday until Saturday, September 1.

The schedule for the shuttle is as follows:
Departure times from the Baltimore Visitor Center to the Maryland Zoo
9:30 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m., noon, 1 p.m., 2 p.m.
Departure times from the Maryland Zoo to the Baltimore Visitor Center
11:30 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m., 4:30 p.m.

Be sure to attend Wild about Giraffes! on Saturday, June 16 and Wild about Elephants! on Saturday, August 12. Both events are free with paid admission. To see a full list of events and activities, visit marylandzoo.org.elephant
