Sample, learn about craft beer at the Annapolis Craft Beer and Music Festival

Annap Craft Beer Music FestivalCraft beer and music lovers can look forward to the annual Annapolis Craft Beer and Music Festival on Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis, noon-6 p.m.

With more than 120 beers available to sample, beer seminars, live music and food, arts and crafts for sale, the afternoon has something for all tastes.
This year, 47 regional and national craft breweries will be at the event with samples ranging from IPAs to porters and stouts, including lagers, amber ales and seasonal brews such as pumpkin and Oktoberfest beers.

“People who come to the festival are mostly enthusiasts,” said Jim Barthold, Annapolis Craft Beer & Music Festival organizer. “The craft brew phenomena began with home brewing, then evolved into an industry. … the continued growth is astonishing.”

Educational seminars open to all festival ticketholders include Craft Beer 101 and a Q&A with brewers. These are on a first-come, first-seated basis in the tent just inside the main entrance.

Craft Beer 101 is led by Jim Lutz, of Fordham/Old Dominion Brewing Co., with other breweries represented. Brewers will talk about their beer, what they are doing, what’s different and new products. A Q&A session follows, where the audience can ask questions of a panel of brewers.
