The Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival returns to Kent Island, Md.,with a rescheduled date of Saturday, Oct. 10, 2015, noon to 6 p.m. at the Chesapeake Heritage and Visitor Center. The festival has been rescheduled due to the chance of severe weather on the original date of Oct. 3.

This year, craft beer will also be available to sample and purchase.

Spend a fall day along the water tasting local and regional wine and craft beer while enjoying artisans, Eastern Shore cuisine and live entertainment. Beer and wine will be served until 5 p.m. with entertainment until 6 p.m.

“With five successful years and countless requests for its return, we are excited to bring the Chesapeake Bay Wine Festival back to Kent Island where we welcome the local community and travelers alike to enjoy a day here on the Chesapeake Bay,” says Becky Groff of Inspired Events, the festival’s planner and promoter. “We are also excited to add craft beer tasting appealing to wine and beer lovers alike.”

Advance tickets are $30 each and are available online through 11:30 p.m. Oct. 2 at www.chesapeakebaywinefest.com. Tickets purchased at the gate are $35 each.

Start sampling wine and beer a half hour early with the Early Access Pass for $45 (advance only). Tickets for designated drivers and ages 13-21 are $10.

Wine & Craft Beer Taster tickets include a keepsake tasting glass, wine samples, craft beer samples and live entertainment. Must be age 21 or over to drink alcohol and must present proper ID at admissions.

Early Access Pass holders can start sampling beer and wine at 11:30 a.m. (a half hour earlier than the crowd) and receive a tasting glass and complimentary 6-ounce bottle of Copa Di Vino, a custom made wine charm and special offers from the Jetty Restaurant and Bridge.

Glasses and bottles of wine will be available to purchase as well as beer. Food vendors include It’s the Pits, Capriottis and Kent Island Crab Cakes (which will have 10-layer Smith Island Cake to try!)
