Severn School in Severna Park has announced that it will merge with Chesapeake Academy in Arnold to form one school this summer.
“Over the past several months Severn’s board of directors has given careful consideration to this opportunity and has concluded that such a union will make us an even stronger independent school,” said John S. Bremer, chairman of the Severn School Board. “The result will be a school – retaining the name Severn School – that extends uninterrupted from preschool through 12th grade.”
