Today is a day to SK8 in the Shade at the Bowie Ice Arena! The Bowie Ice Arena and the Shade Foundation have teamed up to give your skin a break from the sun’s harmful rays this summer.
The Ice Arena is located at 3330 Northview Drive in Bowie.
The City of Bowie Ice Arena is a year-round ice skating facility. When it first opened in 1971 it was only a seasonal facility, but today the Ice Arena is open for skating July through April each year. The 2024- 25 skating season marks the 53rd season of skating at the City of Bowie Ice Arena.
The facility offers ice skating for all ages and levels. Discounts are available for City of Bowie residents, as well as to groups and families.
The Bowie Ice Arena is home to the Bowie Figure Skating Club, Bowie Hockey Club, Bowie High School Ice Dogs and the Bowie ISI Figure Skating Team.
