5th Annual SOUPer Bowl Lunch
For the Light House Shelter

(Annapolis, MD) Before watching the battle for the NFL title on Super Bowl Sunday, do something good for yourself and the community.  Heritage Baptist Church is hosting the 5th Annual SOUPer Bowl Lunch for the Annapolis Light House Shelter on Sunday, February 6, from 11:30AM-1:30PM.

Celebrity servers Mayor Joshua Cohen and City Council Members Shelia Finlayson, Classie Hoyle and Fred Paone will ladle tasty soups prepared by Chef Zachary Pope of Roundz Catering at the church’s fellowship hall (1740 Forest Drive, Annapolis).  In addition to soup, guests will enjoy salad, bread, drinks and dessert.

The public is invited and admission is free, but donations are requested to benefit the Light House Shelter for the Homeless.  All of the money collected will go directly to the shelter.

“How often do you have lunch served to you by the mayor and city council members?” asked Rev. Henry Green.  “That’s worth a donation right there!”

“This event is always one of the highlights of our year.  Support from the community has been tremendous, allowing us to raise thousands of dollars for the shelter.  We invite everyone to join us for a great lunch. You’ll help a worthy cause and still make it home in plenty of time for the kickoff.  It’s a win/win event.”
